Anna Ruby Falls – Random Trail
I typically don’t like to photograph “iconic” places that have been photographed a million times, but I decided to visit Anna Ruby Falls anyway since it was less than two miles from where I was camping with my grandfather. Well, I was so glad that I decided to visit because I found this random trail that was way to the right of the falls(where everyone else was)that was so narrow and looked like it was strictly a biking trail at one point. Basically, the trail looked like it hadn’t trekked for a long time.
After navigating the trail for a few miles and clearing it of overgrown foliage, I was starting to wonder if I should turn around….. until I stumbled upon this really etherial creek with big mossy rocks surrounded in beautiful greenery. It was much prettier than the actual Anna Ruby Falls that so many people travel to see. I love hiking off the beaten path to find my photos because it makes me feel like I really earned the shot! This was one of those rewarding moments… I hope you enjoy looking at this one as much as I enjoyed being there.
