Taking Photos In A Graveyard…

I’m not sure how many of you have had the privilege of visiting Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, but it is one of the coolest, creepiest, and most historic locations I have ever photographed. Being that I am obsessed with history, what intrigued me the most about Oakland Cemetery is the fact that it has so much history and character instilled within it’s 88 acres of myth and legend. Enjoy just a few of my favorite photos from my trip to Oakland.

This grave is known as

This grave is known as “The Ever Watchful Old Man Of Oakland Cemetery.” Legend has it, the old man’s head turns and follows people as they walk by. I love how the golden light was revealing all of the age and texture of this specific grave.

I named this photo,

I named this photo, “Enter The Labyrinth” because it reminded me of the talking door handles from the movie, Labyrinth with David Bowie. One of my favorite movies…
