The Fishing Hole
I captured this one last fall, so I am glad I finally got to process it! I have so many photos built up in my “unprocessed” folder on my computer that it makes it tough sometimes to edit photos as I shoot them.
There is a great little fishing spot where I typically go to shoot sunsets, but while I was waiting for the sun to go down the last time I went, I saw this very “weathered” looking leaf and fishing lure sitting on a rock. I’m not sure why, but I was so intrigued by the way it looked that I Just HAD to shoot it! The second I saw it on the back of the camera I knew I was going to love it.
The first thing that came to mind when I reviewed the image on my computer was the little fishing village called Astoria from the movie, The Goonies. Side note: If you have never seen The Goonies, drop everything you’re doing and watch it right now! Anyway, I thought the name of the photo fit well with the whole “fishing village” feel to it.
I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts!
