“We’re going to need a bigger umbrella”
Those of you who have been shooting with me before know that I LOVE shooting in bad weather. Storms make some of the most interesting and dramatic photographs you could wish for. However, being at the top of a mountain which took 2.74 miles of vertical hiking to reach was probably not the safest situation in these conditions. Nonetheless, the real threat of the sky and weather allowed me to capture this lovely and dramatic photograph.
Even though I love shooting in bad weather, I do always prepare for these situations. I pack extra clothes, jackets, water, food, etc. Taking care of yourself is the most important aspect of photography adventures. You can’t be creative if you’re freezing and hungry.
